The article titled “Conservation and Care among the Cofán in the Ecuadorian Amazon” published in Conservation and Society, on pages 259-270, Volume 19, Issue 4, 2021, DOI:10.4103/cs.cs_20_137,[1] is being retracted due to the lack of attribution in the article to sections of the text taken from Michael Cepek (2012) A Future for Amazonia: Randy Borman and Cofán environmental politics[2]. Plagiarism, fabrication, duplication, unethical or redundant publication violates the editorial policy of Conservation and Society, which follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

This article has been retracted on request of the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
